Kathmandu: In a landmark achievement for Nepal’s spirits industry, The Himalayan Reserve has officially secured a Bronze Winner designation at the prestigious Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition 2026.
Building on its remarkable international success last year, when The Himalayan Reserve earned a Gold Award at the globally recognized Monde Selection, the brand has once again brought global recognition to Nepal through its latest achievement at TWSC 2026.
Recognized as one of Asia’s largest and most rigorous spirits competitions, the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition features blind tastings conducted by some of Japan’s most respected spirits experts and industry professionals. Competing alongside renowned international distilleries, The Himalayan Reserve stood out for its craftsmanship, quality, and distinctive character.
The achievement marks another important milestone for Premier Distillery Limited, one of Nepal’s most modern and integrated liquor manufacturers. Known for maintaining high production standards and stringent quality control, Premier Distillery is also the producer of popular brands including Old Monk 7 Year Old Rum, Old Monk Legend Rum(produced under franchise agreement with Mohan Meakin Limited) as well as Black Stallion.
The recognition reinforces Nepal’s growing capability in producing world-class spirits that can compete successfully on the international stage.
