Yamaha Marks 71 Years of Excellence with Nationwide Community Celebrations in Nepal

Kathmandu: Yamaha Motor Co. celebrated its 71st anniversary on Yamaha Day, commemorating the brand’s legacy in engineering, motorsports, and mobility. To mark the occasion, Yamaha Nepal organized a series of celebrations across all seven provinces, bringing together customers, employees, dealers, and local communities to honor more than seven decades of innovation, performance, and trust.

The celebrations began with simultaneous inauguration and cake-cutting ceremonies at Yamaha showrooms, dealerships, and company-operated outlets nationwide. As part of the event, Yamaha Nepal recognized employees who have completed 20 years of service, honoring their dedication and contributions to the company’s growth. More than 100 dealers across Nepal participated virtually, while representatives from Yamaha Motor India also joined the celebrations digitally.

To celebrate with customers, Yamaha introduced several anniversary offers. Customers received a 25% discount on labor charges at service centers across the country. The company also launched its “7 Provinces, 7 Customers” campaign, rewarding one customer from each province with 100% cashback on vehicle servicing. Customers taking delivery of Yamaha motorcycles on July 1 were also presented with customized anniversary chocolates as a token of appreciation.

Emphasizing social responsibility, Yamaha Nepal organized nationwide blood donation drives to mark the milestone. Camps were held in Dhangadhi, Pokhara, Naxal, Gatthaghar, Bharatpur, Bardibas, and Itahari, collecting approximately 350 units of blood through seven participating showrooms. In addition, a tree plantation program was conducted at Yamaha’s manufacturing facility in Biratnagar to promote environmental sustainability.

Yamaha Parsa also celebrated Yamaha Day through a range of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The dealership committed to sponsoring the education of seven underprivileged students from Nursery to Grade 7 at Shree Dharmeshwor Adharbhoot School in Khairahani until they complete Grade 12, including providing educational materials. The event also honored six long-time Yamaha customers who have owned Yamaha motorcycles for between 16 and 40 years, as well as five riders who have covered between 100,000 and 200,000 kilometers on Yamaha motorcycles.

In recognition of their contributions to the local automotive industry, Yamaha Parsa also honored an entrepreneur who pioneered the pre-owned motorcycle business in eastern Chitwan and three mechanics who have dedicated more than 32 years to the profession.

Speaking at the event, Vishnu Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Rides Pvt. Ltd., said: “Yamaha today proudly supports around 400 families across Nepal through direct and indirect employment, and that is a responsibility we carry with pride. We are deeply grateful to our dealer network, which has stood beside us throughout our journey. From traffic awareness campaigns to blood donation drives, charity initiatives, and tree plantations, our anniversary celebrations reflect Yamaha’s long-standing commitment to growing alongside the communities we serve.”

As part of the anniversary activities, Yamaha Nepal also partnered with Kathmandu Police to assist with traffic management during peak hours while promoting road safety awareness. Meanwhile, Yamaha’s riding community, BlueStreaks, organized a charity ride to Mountain Children’s Home in Budhanilkantha, where members donated books and stationery to children.

Yamaha Nepal’s brand ambassador, Anoop Bikram Shahi, extended his congratulations to the Yamaha family, celebrating the strong relationship between the brand and its riders. The occasion was further marked by congratulatory messages from Sitara San, Global Chairman, along with delegates from Japan, recognizing Yamaha Nepal’s remarkable 71-year journey.

Operating under the MAW Group, Yamaha Nepal has established itself as one of the country’s leading two-wheeler brands, known for advanced Japanese technology, reliability, performance, and comprehensive after-sales support. The company also expressed its gratitude to the MAW Foundation and the Lions Club of Kathmandu Samarpan for supporting its nationwide blood donation campaign, reaffirming its commitment to creating a positive impact beyond mobility.
