Kathmandu: Just a week after its official launch in Nepal, GWM’s all-new ORA 5 EV SUV is already attracting strong interest from customers and automotive enthusiasts. Adding to the excitement, the globally acclaimed electric SUV has won the prestigious “Design of the Year” title in the Product Design – Automobiles/Vehicles category at the 2025 London Design Awards.
The accolade further reinforces the ORA 5’s reputation for blending intelligent technology, distinctive styling, and human-centric innovation. It also reflects GWM’s continued commitment to advancing electric mobility through cutting-edge design and engineering.
Developed around the philosophy of “Natural Aesthetics” and inspired by the concept “Born from Nature, Thriving in the City,” the ORA 5 features flowing curves, signature waterdrop LED headlamps, and an integrated rear light design that creates a refined yet commanding road presence.
The SUV is equipped with GWM’s Coffee Pilot Ultra Intelligent Driving System and Coffee OS 3 SmartCockpit, along with a high-strength steel body, seven airbags, and internationally recognized 5-Star ANCAP and 5-Star Euro NCAP safety ratings.
The ORA 5 delivers a driving range of up to 520 km on a single charge and offers 200 mm ground clearance. Key features include more than 20 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions, a 360-degree surround-view camera, 180-degree chassis-view camera, self-healing paint technology, a panoramic moonroof, and a premium cabin designed for comfort, convenience, and safety.
In Nepal, the ORA 5 is available at a special introductory price of NPR 4,699,000 for the Mid Variant and NPR 5,199,000 for the Top Variant.

According to VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer and distributor of GWM vehicles in Nepal, the successful launch of the ORA 5 marks an important milestone for the brand.
