Kathmandu: Electric vehicle enthusiasts in Nepal may soon have more options to choose from, as reports suggest that Bajaj is preparing to introduce two new Chetak electric scooter models in the Nepali market.
The upcoming Bajaj Chetak C2501 is expected to be positioned as the more affordable variant. The model is likely to feature a 2.5 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated 113 km IDC range, a top speed of 60 km/h, and a charging time of approximately 4 hours.
Meanwhile, the Bajaj Chetak C3503 is expected to arrive as the premium variant, featuring a larger 3.5 kWh battery capable of delivering up to 153 km IDC range. The model is also anticipated to come equipped with a digital display and multiple smart features designed to enhance the riding experience.
Although Bajaj Nepal has not yet made an official announcement, further details regarding pricing, availability, and launch timelines for the Nepali market are expected to be revealed soon.
With the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 scheduled to take place in August, industry sources suggest that both new Chetak models could make their official debut during the auto exhibition.
The potential launch of these models is expected to further strengthen Bajaj’s presence in Nepal’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market, offering customers more choices in the premium and affordable EV scooter segments.
