Ukrainian authorities announced Wednesday that three people were killed and 24 others were injured in a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, Russian forces carried out 979 strikes on 54 settlements across Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, killing three people and injuring 24 others.
This comes as Russian authorities announced that their forces had destroyed a multiple-launch rocket system, as well as 10 Ukrainian drone command centers.
Russia’s Sputnik news agency reported that Russian forces targeted the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, carrying out more than 200 strikes in the two regions overnight.
These strikes came as Russia intensified its attacks on several Ukrainian facilities, including ports, in recent days, amid continued military escalation between the two sides and no signs of an imminent political settlement.
