Fintara Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Blue Cross Hospital Sign MOU to Offer 0% Interest-Free EMI Payment Services for Credit Cardholders

Kathmandu: Fintara Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the company behind Nepal’s digital EMI aggregation platform ONE BNPL, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Blue Cross Hospital to provide 0% interest-free EMI payment services for patients using eligible credit cards.

Under the agreement, patients visiting Blue Cross Hospital can convert hospital bills above Rs. 5,000 into interest-free monthly installments ranging from 3 to 18 months through the ONE BNPL platform. The service is available instantly over the counter with no paperwork or manual approval required.

According to the companies, the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden associated with healthcare expenses by enabling patients to pay for treatment in manageable installments. The entire process is digital and designed to function similarly to a regular credit card transaction at a retail outlet.

Key Features of the Service:

  • 0% interest EMI conversion on hospital bills above Rs. 5,000
  • Flexible installment options of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months
  • Available for credit cardholders of ONE BNPL partner banks
  • Instant EMI conversion with no paperwork or waiting time
  • Applicable for medical services at Blue Cross Hospital in Tripureshwor

ONE BNPL currently works with partner banks including Global IME Bank, Siddhartha Bank, Sanima Bank, Kumari Bank, Citizens International Bank, Prabhu Bank, and NMB Bank, with additional partnerships expected in the future.

The platform’s merchant network spans sectors including healthcare, hospitality, retail, mobile brands, and technology products. The addition of Blue Cross Hospital further expands its presence in Nepal’s healthcare sector.

Established in 1991, Blue Cross Hospital is a multi-specialty tertiary healthcare institution located in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. The hospital operates a 50-bed facility equipped with ICU services, NICU-PICU care, modern operation theatres, and emergency services.

Speaking on the partnership, Ashis K Sharma, Executive Director of Fintara Solutions Pvt. Ltd., said healthcare expenses are often urgent and unplanned, and the partnership aims to help patients focus on recovery rather than financial stress.

Similarly, Dr. Prajwal Man Shrestha, Medical Director of Blue Cross Hospital, stated that financial concerns should never prevent patients from accessing essential healthcare services, adding that the collaboration seeks to make quality healthcare more financially manageable.

Both organizations said they plan to further expand access to healthcare-focused EMI services by onboarding additional hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers in the future.
