Kathmandu: Premier International IB Continuum School hosted the Anveshan: MYP STEAM Exhibition 2025, showcasing an inspiring fusion of innovation, inquiry, and hands-on learning. More than 35 projects from students of Grades 6, 7, and 9 impressed visitors with their creativity, research depth, and technical execution. The event highlighted how STEAM education empowers young learners to think critically, design purposefully, and apply their knowledge to solve real-world challenges.

Students explored themes centered around Simple and Complex Machines, Energy Transformation, and Systems, and presented a range of functional prototypes. Among the standout projects were an Automatic Water Dispenser, Hydraulic Braking System, Gravity-Fall Electricity Generator using Piezoelectric Plates, Smart Gesture-Based Prosthetic Arm, Emergency Situation Remote-Operated Car, Smart Street Lights, and models of Renewable Energy Sources. These projects reflected the structured MYP Design Technology approach of Inquiry, Development, Creation, and Evaluation, where classroom concepts were transformed into meaningful and practical solutions.

The exhibition not only enhanced academic understanding but also helped students develop essential 21st-century skills. They engaged in CAD and 3D modeling, circuitry design, Arduino programming, block and text coding, soldering, and workshop safety practices. Alongside technical skills, students strengthened vital competencies such as project planning, teamwork, time management, troubleshooting, reflection, and iterative problem-solving. The journey of refining ideas and overcoming challenges proved to be as valuable as the final creations, highlighting Premier’s commitment to experiential, student-centered learning.

The event was honored by Guest Judge Mr. Hitesh Golchha, Director of Hipco Infra and Founder of The Leaf Resort & Spa, who praised the students’ confidence, creativity, and technical brilliance particularly noting the impressive work presented by younger participants. Motivated by their talent and enthusiasm, he sponsored Lego gift bags for the winning teams, further encouraging their innovative spirit.

The Anveshan: MYP STEAM Exhibition 2025 stands as a testament to Premier’s vision of nurturing future-ready learners through inquiry-driven, hands-on education.
