A Multi-Faceted Celebration of Creativity, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Community Service at Premier

Kathmandu: Premier International IB Continuum School brought learning beyond the classroom to life through a vibrant series of student-led initiatives that celebrated creativity, leadership, entrepreneurship, sportsmanship, and community service. Held across the school campus, the integrated events reflected Premier’s commitment to holistic, values-driven education rooted in the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy, where students learn by doing, creating, and contributing meaningfully to society.

The campus first came alive with creativity and expression during the PYP & MYP Visual Arts Exhibition “Expressions – 2025.” Showcasing artworks by students from Early Years to MYP 4, the exhibition featured paintings, sculptures, installations, and mixed media inspired by classroom learning and Units of Inquiry. From early explorations of daily life skills to powerful artistic responses addressing social issues and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the exhibition demonstrated how conceptual understanding is transformed into meaningful artistic expression. The presence of guest artists Mr. Koshal Hamal and Ms. Shivangini Rana, along with visiting schools, further enriched the experience, amplifying student voice, confidence, and creative exchange.

This spirit of learning in action continued with the PYP Bazaar, where students showcased entrepreneurship, responsibility, and leadership. Younger learners created innovative products using recycled materials, while older PYP students applied real-world market concepts such as pricing, marketing, profit, and loss. PYP 3 students led the planning and coordination of the event, exemplifying teamwork and ownership. Students from MYP, DP, and NEB also participated by running stalls to raise funds for social causes, reinforcing empathy and responsible action.

Alongside creativity and enterprise, Premier emphasized physical well-being and teamwork through its Annual Sports Gala 2082. Students from Preschool to Grade 12 participated in age-appropriate sporting activities designed to promote fitness, discipline, collaboration, and sportsmanship. From playful relay races in Early Years to athletics and team sports for senior students, the Gala celebrated perseverance, teamwork, and mutual respect. Taekwondo demonstrations and musical performances added energy and excitement to the festivities.

The school’s commitment to service and social responsibility was further highlighted through a Blood Donation Drive, organized in collaboration with the Nepal Red Cross Society, alongside multiple student-led fundraising initiatives across programmes. Parents, staff, and well-wishers came together to support a life-saving humanitarian cause. IBDP students raised funds as part of their Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) journey, MYP students supported Service as Action projects, and NEB students contributed toward their Management Fair initiatives demonstrating purposeful learning translated into real-world impact.

By integrating creative expression, student entrepreneurship, physical well-being, and community service within a single, cohesive experience, Premier International IB Continuum School showcased the true essence of holistic education. Each initiative reflected the IB mission of developing caring, responsible, and reflective learners who understand their role in the world. Through these experiences, Premier continues to empower students across all programmes to take ownership of their learning, act with purpose, and contribute positively to society reaffirming that education is most powerful when it inspires both action and impact.
