Chitwan: Agni Aastha Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Agni Group and the authorized distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, has officially launched Mahindra’s much-anticipated Electric Origin SUVs : the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Chitwan. The launch marks a significant milestone in expanding advanced electric mobility beyond major urban centers of Nepal.

Built on Mahindra’s next-generation INGLO electric architecture and powered by MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), the new Electric Origin SUVs represent a bold leap forward in performance, intelligence, sustainability, and design.

The grand launch event was held at Hotel Siraichuli, Bharatpur, in the presence of distinguished guests including Mr. Chiranjibi Subedi, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chitwan (CCIC), Mr. Cabinet Shrestha, Chairman of Agni Group, and Mr. Chaitanya Kagalkar, Country Manager of Mahindra & Mahindra, along with customers, EV enthusiasts, media representatives, and company officials.

Addressing the event, Mr. Cabinet Shrestha shared Agni Group’s long-term vision for electric mobility in Nepal, emphasizing sustainability, regional accessibility, and customer trust. Meanwhile, Mr. Chaitanya Kagalkar presented Mahindra’s global Born Electric roadmap, highlighting innovations behind BEV technology and Mahindra’s leadership in the EV space.

The BE 6 and XEV 9e were first introduced to the Nepali market during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, where they received an overwhelming response. Since then, interest in these Born Electric Vehicles has continued to grow. The Mahindra XEV 9e has further strengthened its credentials by winning the Green Car of the Year 2026 at the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) Awards, recognizing its excellence in sustainable design, electric performance, and advanced technology.

Building on this momentum, Agni Group has announced plans to expand Mahindra’s Born Electric lineup across multiple regions of Nepal. Following Chitwan, regional launches are planned in Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Itahari, and other key cities, bringing world-class electric SUVs closer to customers nationwide.

The BE 6 and XEV 9e follow Mahindra’s Heartcore design philosophy. The BE 6 features a sporty, athletic profile aimed at adventure seekers, while the XEV 9e offers a refined SUV-coupe design with a more luxurious appeal.

Both SUVs deliver strong performance with 99 kW power across most variants, while the XEV 9e Pack Three raises the bar with an impressive 199 kW output. Advanced features include cinematic triple-screen displays, race-ready digital cockpits, Harman Kardon premium sound, AR-based HUD, ADAS Level 2/2+, Autopark, 360-degree surveillance, and Mahindra’s ME4U connected vehicle platform.
