Kathmandu: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung visited the CPN-UML central office in Chyasal on Wednesday after the water level of the Manohara River rose amid continuous rainfall.
The minister reached the site to assess the situation as rainfall continued to affect the area.
Water levels in both the Manohara and Bagmati rivers have been steadily rising due to persistent rain. Officials said the water had reached a level that posed a risk of overflowing the riverbanks.
With rainfall continuing, the water flow is expected to increase further.
The rising water level has put the CPN-UML central office in Chyasal at risk of flooding. The office premises were also affected by flooding last year after the Manohara River overflowed into the complex.
