Kathmandu: Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, operating under Everest Hospitality and Hotel Ltd., has supported local education through a corporate social responsibility initiative by donating a fully equipped science laboratory and lunch boxes to students of Shree Kamal Adharbhut School in Kamalpokhari.

The handover ceremony was held at the school premises at 10:30 AM, where the owner of Everest Hospitality and Hotel Ltd. personally handed over the science laboratory to school officials. The event was attended by school staff, students, and representatives from Kathmandu Marriott Hotel.

According to the hotel, the donation aims to improve the quality of education for students by providing access to practical scientific learning resources. The science laboratory is expected to help students engage in hands-on experiments and strengthen their understanding of science beyond textbook learning.

Alongside the laboratory, lunch boxes were distributed to students as part of the initiative, reflecting the hotel’s broader focus on supporting children’s well-being and educational development.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashi Kant Agarwal, Chairman of Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, said that giving back to the community has always been a core value of the hotel. He noted that education is the foundation of a thriving society and emphasized the importance of ensuring children have access to resources that support learning and growth.

Shree Kamal Adharbhut School serves students from the surrounding Kamalpokhari area, and the contribution is expected to benefit many children in the years ahead.
