Kathmandu: Shangrila Motors Pvt. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal, has rerouted incoming shipments of the Leapmotor B10 through the Korala border point in Mustang to avoid delays caused by recent flash floods along the Rasuwa corridor.
The vehicles are normally imported into Nepal through the Rasuwagadhi border. However, temporary disruptions along the route following the flash floods in Rasuwa prompted Shangrila Motors to adopt the alternative Korala route to maintain a smooth supply chain and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
With customer deliveries expected to begin soon, the company is expediting transportation and customs clearance through the Korala route to meet strong demand for the Leapmotor B10 across Nepal.
The decision follows an overwhelming response to the B10 at both the NAIMA Mobility Expo and the NADA Auto Show, where the model received a high number of bookings. The company said the rerouting is aimed at ensuring that customers do not face unnecessary delays in receiving their vehicles.
Following its price reduction after the government budget, the Leapmotor B10 has emerged as a popular choice among EV enthusiasts. The B10 is currently priced at Rs. 54.99 lakh and comes with a powerful 160 kW Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) motor paired with a 67.1 kWh battery. The vehicle offers a claimed range of up to 600 km (CLTC) on a single charge.
Designed to combine comfort, technology and practicality, the B10 features 180 mm of ground clearance, a 14.6-inch 2.5K HD touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a 360-degree camera with recording capability.
The EV also comes equipped with premium leatherette seats featuring heating and ventilation functions, along with one of the largest panoramic sunroofs with a sunshade in its segment.
With shipments now being rerouted through Korala, Shangrila Motors is focused on accelerating deliveries and meeting the strong customer demand for the Leapmotor B10 in the Nepali market
