Yamaha Nepal Launches “Now I am 71.33 kmpl” Campaign Highlighting Hybrid Technology Advantage

Kathmandu: Yamaha Nepal has officially launched its new campaign titled “Now I am 71.33 kmpl,” celebrating the success and growing adoption of hybrid engine technology in Nepal.

The campaign centers around the Yamaha RayZR 125 FI Hybrid, currently the only hybrid engine scooter available in the Nepali market. With global fuel prices continuing to rise, Yamaha aims to position the RayZR Hybrid as a practical and economical solution for everyday commuters.

According to the company, the scooter delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 71.33 kmpl; approximately 40 percent higher than standard 125cc scooters, which typically offer 40–45 kmpl. This improved fuel efficiency is expected to help riders save significantly on fuel expenses, potentially recovering over Rs. 100,000 in costs within three years of ownership.

The RayZR Hybrid integrates segment-first hybrid technology through its Smart Motor Generator (SMG), which provides electric power assist during acceleration and uphill rides. This ensures a balance between performance and fuel economy. Additionally, the scooter features a lightweight design of just 99 kg, enhancing maneuverability in urban traffic conditions.

Advanced fuel injection (FI) technology combined with an automatic stop/start system further optimizes fuel usage by minimizing wastage during idle conditions, such as at traffic signals.

To strengthen its value proposition, Yamaha Nepal has also introduced a five-year free servicing scheme for customers purchasing the RayZR Hybrid from Chaitra 1, 2082, reinforcing its commitment to long-term customer satisfaction.

Speaking on the campaign, Deepak Kumar Agrawal, Executive Director and CEO, stated that the initiative reflects the real-world experiences of thousands of riders who have already achieved high mileage performance. He emphasized that the combination of record-breaking efficiency and free servicing aims to reduce the overall cost of ownership and enhance customer confidence.

Beyond performance and efficiency, the RayZR Hybrid also offers modern features such as Y-Connect Bluetooth connectivity, side-stand engine cut-off for safety, and 21-liter under-seat storage, making it a well-rounded choice for urban mobility.

MAW Rides Pvt. Ltd., which operates Yamaha Nepal, continues to promote innovation and customer-focused solutions under its guiding philosophy of “Kando,” representing deep satisfaction and excitement. The company has also been actively organizing mileage challenges in Nepal, setting benchmarks for fuel efficiency and transparency in the market.

The RayZR 125 FI Hybrid has also received international recognition, including the Scooter of the Year 2021 award at Bike India Awards and the prestigious MCN Award, further reinforcing its global credibility.
