Kathmandu: The bodies of eight people have been recovered in Nuwakot and Dhading following a flash flood in the Bhote Koshi River.
The flash flood originated from the Chinese side on Wednesday morning.
The flood has caused extensive damage to life and property in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.
Central Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police Abinarayan Kafle, confirmed that eight bodies have been recovered so far.
According to him, 26 Nepal Police personnel are missing in Rasuwa.
Meanwhile, the Armed Police Force reported that seven of its personnel are also missing.
With 26 Nepal Police personnel and seven Armed Police Force personnel missing, a total of 33 security personnel are currently reported missing.
