Kathmandu: An agreement is likely to be inked between loan shark victims and the government negotiation team today.
Preparations are underway to sign the written agreement by formalizing the verbal commitment reached between the government team and representatives of loan shark victims at Simara on Wednesday, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
A meeting is underway between the government negotiation team and representatives of loan shark victims at the OPMCM.
Earlier, a comprehensive discussion had taken place between the two sides on Wednesday.
Preparation to ink the deal has been made based on the discussion and consensus reached on Wednesday’s meeting.
Secretary at the OPMCM, Pushkar Sapkota, is leading the government negotiation team while Joint-Secretary at the Home Ministry, Kali Prasad Parajuli, and Director General at the Department of Land Management, Yogendra Prasad Dulal, are members.
Avadesh Kusawaha of Nawalparasi (Susta East) has been coordinating the talks team of loan shark victims side while Manoj Paswan of Siraha, Rijan Rana Magar of Gorkha, Laxmi Ghimire of Bhojpur, Kiran Pariyar of Bardaghat (West) and Nirga Raj Jaisi of Kailali are members.
