TikTok Releases Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report

Nepal: TikTok has released its Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, highlighting its ongoing commitment to creating a safe digital environment for its users. Covering the period from January to March 2026, the report outlines the proactive measures TikTok has taken to identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for its global community.

In Q1 2026, TikTok removed a total of 1,961,698 videos in Nepal for violations of its Community Guidelines, representing a 0.4% removal rate of all published videos. Proactive removal rates from January to March 2026 remained high at 99.2%, with 86.5% of these videos removed within 24 hours of posting. During the same period, a total of 61,992 videos were restored in Nepal following further review.

Globally, TikTok removed 184 million videos (184,012,576) during the quarter, representing approximately 0.5% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of the removed videos, 178,014,154 were detected and taken down using automated detection technologies, while 8,838,710 videos were reinstated after additional review.

The proactive removal rate globally stood at 99.3%, with 94.4% of flagged content removed within 24 hours of posting. To safeguard platform integrity, TikTok also removed 86,288,705 fake accounts during the quarter, in addition to 25,764,372 accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13.

The latest report highlights the continued advancement of TikTok’s content moderation systems, with automated technologies now responsible for detecting and removing the vast majority of violating content.

The report also highlights evolving enforcement trends across different content formats. Video removal rates remained stable at 0.5%, while comment removal rates continued to decline, reaching approximately 0.2%. At the same time, enforcement actions on LIVE content increased, with the LIVE suspension rate reaching a record high of 2.7%, reflecting TikTok’s continued investment in maintaining safety during real-time interactions.

Additionally, TikTok took action on a total of 58,207,389 LIVE sessions, either by issuing warnings or demonetizing them. The platform also warned or demonetized 21,966,667 LIVE creators during the period. Following further review, 4,171,677 LIVE sessions were subsequently restored.

The periodic publication of the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report provides insights into the scale and nature of content and account enforcement actions, underscoring TikTok’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
