Kathmandu: The prices of gold and silver increased in the domestic market on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

Gold prices rose by Rs 3,400 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 135 per tola.

According to the association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 296,100 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 4,945 per tola.

On the previous day (Thursday), fine gold was traded at Rs 292,700 per tola and silver at Rs 4,810 per tola. Similarly, on Wednesday, gold was priced at Rs 294,500 per tola and silver at Rs 4,915 per tola.

According to international media reports, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,650 per ounce in the global market, while silver stands at USD 76 per ounce.
