Kathmandu: Gold prices continued their upward trend in the domestic market on Friday, with the price increasing significantly over the past three trading days. During this period, the price of gold has risen by NPR 13,100 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold increased by NPR 900 per tola on Friday, reaching NPR 296,900 per tola. On Thursday, fine gold was traded at NPR 296,000 per tola.
Earlier, the price of gold had surged by NPR 8,000 per tola on Thursday and NPR 4,200 per tola on Wednesday. With Friday’s increase, the cumulative rise over the last three trading days has reached NPR 13,100 per tola.
Silver prices also recorded a slight increase. The price of silver rose by NPR 10 per tola on Friday to NPR 4,580 per tola, compared to NPR 4,570 per tola on Thursday.
In the international market, gold was trading at USD 4,268 per ounce on Friday.
