Kathmandu: The price of fine gold increased by Rs 4,800 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday, reaching Rs 301,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold was traded at Rs 296,900 per tola on Friday. With Sunday’s increase, the price of the precious metal has climbed by Rs 17,700 per tola over the past seven days.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased by Rs 65 per tola to Rs 4,645. Silver was priced at Rs 4,580 per tola on Friday.
In the international market, gold was trading at $4,030 per ounce, while silver stood at $57.41 per ounce. The US dollar exchange rate was Rs 152.74.
