Gold Price Soars to Record High of NPR 282,000 per Tola

Kathmandu: Gold prices in the Nepali market continued their upward trajectory, reaching an all-time high on Monday. The steady rise that began in the final week of Poush has culminated in the highest price ever recorded.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, consumers are required to pay NPR 282,000 per tola for gold today. This represents an increase of NPR 4,200 per tola compared to the previous trading day.

On Sunday, gold was traded at NPR 277,800 per tola. Prior to this, the market had set a previous record last Wednesday, when gold reached NPR 278,000 per tola, marking what was then its highest level.

The Federation also reported a notable increase in silver prices. On Monday, silver rose by NPR 185 per tola, with the price fixed at NPR 5,810 per tola. On Sunday, silver was traded at NPR 5,625 per tola.

The continued surge in precious metal prices reflects strong market momentum and heightened demand in the domestic bullion market.
