Kathmandu: Global IME Bank Limited has been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Bank in Nepal” at the Euromoney Award for Excellence 2025.

Established in 1992, the Euromoney Awards are among the most respected recognitions in the global banking and financial industry. This year’s honor was received by Mr. Ram Bahadur Bhandari, Member of the Board of Directors of Global IME Bank, and Mr. Shishir Shakya, Manager at Treasury and Correspondent Banking, during a special ceremony held in Singapore on Tuesday.

Global IME Bank was recognized for its outstanding financial performance, superior customer service, continuous technological innovation, commitment to ESG principles, and impactful CSR initiatives. The award further highlights the bank’s role as a leader in Nepal’s financial sector.

This marks the third time Global IME Bank has received the Euromoney Award for Excellence, having previously been honored in 2022 and 2024. In addition, the bank has also won Global Finance’s Best Bank Award in both 2024 and 2025, along with two category awards under Euromoney Excellence 2024, reaffirming its status as Nepal’s leading financial institution.
