Kathmandu: Yamaha Nepal marked a major milestone in its youth engagement journey by successfully participating as a Co-Sponsor of Nepal’s biggest pop-culture festival, “Otaku Jatra into Jatra Verse 2025.” The event attracted over 8,000 young attendees, including pop-culture enthusiasts, content creators, gamers, and cosplay artists, reaffirming Yamaha’s strong connection with Nepal’s evolving youth culture.
Yamaha’s presence at Otaku Jatra went beyond a conventional brand display. By bringing its iconic MT-15 series into the heart of the festival, Yamaha effectively bridged the worlds of street-culture motorcycling and pop culture, highlighting the shared values of creativity, self-expression, and lifestyle-driven mobility.
By aligning with a pop-culture–centric platform like Otaku Jatra, Yamaha reinforced its identity as a brand that understands modern youth aspirations, individuality, and cultural expression. The festival’s vibrant atmosphere filled with cosplay, street art, gaming, and music perfectly complemented Yamaha’s positioning as a youth- and street-culture–focused motorcycle brand.
As part of its motorsports recognition, Yamaha also felicitated winners from NRRC 2025, including podium holder Dipesh Jaiswal, National Category winner Shree Hari Poudel, and Women’s Category winner Barsha Basnet, who were honored with Yamaha merchandise further underlining the brand’s commitment to racing excellence and talent recognition.
One of Yamaha’s standout attractions was the showcase of customized MT-15 motorcycles, displayed alongside the personal stories and inspirations of their owners. Featuring distinctive modifications, liveries, and accessories, the display celebrated individuality and creativity within the riding community. Mr. Deepak Kumar Agrawal, CEO & Executive Director of Yamaha Nepal, personally handed out Yamaha merchandise to the featured riders, strengthening the emotional connect between the brand and its riders.
The Yamaha stunt show emerged as one of the festival’s biggest crowd-pullers, with professional riders delivering high-energy stunt performances that reflected Yamaha’s performance-driven DNA and strong motorsports heritage.
Yamaha further enhanced engagement through multiple interactive experience zones. The MotoGP gaming zone attracted racing enthusiasts, while the graffiti art wall and helmet art zone encouraged visitors to unleash their creativity. The MT-15 Experience Zone, including test rides, saw strong participation. A major highlight was the MT ride-out, featuring 35 MT riders with cosplay artists as pillion, creating a high-energy spectacle that built excitement even before reaching The Plaza.
Otaku Jatra was more than an event for Yamaha: it was a statement of intent. By aligning with a festival that celebrates individuality, fandom, and bold self-expression, Yamaha Nepal reaffirmed its evolving identity as a brand that moves with culture, grows with its audience, and continues to redefine how motorcycling connects with modern youth communities.
