Kathmandu: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has said the successful rescue of two individuals alive from the tunnel of the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project after 10 days has renewed hope amid the ongoing rescue efforts.
Taking to Facebook, Minister Gurung expressed gratitude to the personnel of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and the Central Command Center team who have continued rescue operations despite persistent challenges and difficult conditions.
Earlier Friday morning, Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project employees Sanjay Sah and Kabir Maharjan, who had been trapped inside the tunnel, were rescued alive. According to Minister Gurung, rescue personnel remain deployed across the tunnels as search and rescue operations continue.
Gurung personally reached the site during the rescue of Sah and Maharjan, where he encouraged both the rescued individuals and the teams involved in the operation.
He also appreciated the efforts of Members of Parliament Sagar Dhakal and Shri Ram Neupane, who have been actively involved in the search and rescue efforts for people missing in the floods.
