Kathmandu: Megha Chaudhary, Co-Chairperson of BLC Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd., has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco to Nepal.

The appointment approval letter was issued by Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of Morocco, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.

Chaudhary officially assumed office after receiving her letter of appointment on Wednesday from Amrit Bahadur Rai, Foreign Secretary of Nepal. Her consular jurisdiction has been designated within the Kathmandu Valley.

Upon accepting the appointment, Chaudhary expressed her commitment to playing an active role in strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Nepal and Morocco.

With her appointment, it is expected that bilateral cooperation between the two countries(particularly in trade, tourism and cultural exchange) will gain new momentum.
