Kathmandu: The price of gold and silver declined in the Nepali market on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold prices fell by Rs 7,800 per tola in a single day. With the latest drop, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 294,500 per tola for Friday. On the previous trading day (Thursday), gold was traded at Rs 302,300 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver also decreased by Rs 115 per tola. The association reported that silver is being traded at Rs 4,895 per tola today, compared to Rs 5,010 per tola on the previous day.
According to international media reports, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,700 per ounce in the global market, while silver is priced at USD 75 per ounce.
