Kathmandu: Premier International IB Continuum School has secured major victories in both football and basketball, winning the NISSA League Football 2026 and emerging as undefeated champions in the 12th Xavier International U-19 Basketball Tournament.

In football, Premier defeated The British School 2–0 in the semi-final and overcame GEMS School in the final after a 1–1 draw, securing a 5–4 victory in the penalty shootout. Rejish Neupane (IBDP 2) was named Best Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance as goalkeeper.

The football squad included Shyameer Shrestha (Captain, IBDP 2), Rejish Neupane (IBDP 2), and Shyaum Shrestha (IBDP 2); Nirvik Thapa, Prabesh Tamang, Drishya Ratna Shakya, Nishad Sitaula, Ishan Gauchan, and Rishit Mainali (all NEB 12); Tenzing Dawoe Lama and Aryak Karki (IBDP 1); Oliver Karki, Aarjal Adhikari, and Aarush Karki (NEB 11); Sankalpa Pokharel (Grade 10); Abim Roka Magar and Noah Rai (MYP 4); and Arzu T. Rajbhandari (MYP 3). The team was coached by Suraj Maharjan, Sanjay Shrestha, and Sugat Shrestha.

In basketball, Premier delivered a dominant performance, winning all matches in the tournament. The team recorded victories against Golden Gate College (46–44), Divya College (70–21), and Xavier B (91–18) in the league stage. They went on to defeat Times College (53–11) in the quarter-final, Xavier Academy (73–61) in the semi-final, and BKSP, Bangladesh (67–43) in the final.

The basketball team featured Dawa T. Lama Tamang, Pranaya Man Shrestha, Pratham Shrestha, Jyotshan Joshi, and Adamya Maharjan (all NEB 12); Ashwin Chalise and Supreme Maharjan (IBDP 1); Sayugya Mahat (NEB 11); and Kai Yoshi Prajapati (Grade 9). The team was coached by Sadhish Pradhan, captain of the Nepali National Men’s Basketball Team.

These achievements highlight Premier International IB Continuum School’s growing excellence in inter-school sports and its commitment to nurturing young athletic talent across disciplines.
