AEGIS Short Blade Battery Powers Proton EMAS 7, Redefining Electric SUV Performance

Kathmandu: Proton’s full-size electric SUV, the EMAS 7, is rapidly gaining popularity in the Nepali market. Recognized as Malaysia’s number one electric vehicle, the EMAS 7 is officially available in Nepal through Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Proton vehicles in the country.

One of the standout features of the EMAS 7 is its AEGIS Short Blade Battery, among the most advanced blade-type Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technologies currently available. This next-generation battery delivers higher energy density, allowing extended driving range, while its long cycle life ensures durability and reliable performance over time.

The AEGIS Short Blade Battery also offers exceptional charging efficiency, enabling the battery to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes, significantly reducing charging downtime. Designed with enhanced safety features, the battery incorporates a fire-resistant structural design that provides greater safety assurance for both drivers and passengers.

Additionally, the optimized and space-efficient battery layout maximizes interior cabin space without compromising vehicle performance. With fast-charging capability and an impressive NEDC-certified driving range of up to 492 km and 585 km, the EMAS 7 is well suited for both daily urban commutes and long-distance travel.

With the introduction of the EMAS 7, Proton Nepal has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering modern, safe, and sustainable electric mobility solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Nepali consumers.
