ICT Frame to Host IT Project Competition Award 2026 in Association with TechX

Kathmandu: ICT Frame, a leading technology media platform in Nepal, has officially announced the launch of the IT Project Competition Award 2026 (ITPCA 2026). The national-level initiative is being organized in association with TechX and supported by the Tech Bloggers Association of Nepal, with the objective of identifying, mentoring, and celebrating emerging Nepalese technology innovators.

Guided by the theme “Honoring Innovation. Celebrating Excellence.”, the competition aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry demands. The main award event is scheduled for Saturday, 2nd May 2026 (19th Baishakh 2083) and will serve as a prestigious platform for undergraduate students, independent developers, and emerging technology leaders from across the country.

Inauguration and Leadership Vision

The IT Project Competition Award 2026 was formally inaugurated by Dr. Devraj Paneru, Principal of Liberty College. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Paneru emphasized the growing importance of project-based learning in modern education.

“Such initiatives are essential for producing industry-ready graduates and motivating youth to become confident technology leaders,” he said, reaffirming his institution’s commitment to innovation-driven education.

The conceptual framework of the award has been developed by Chiranjibi Adhikari, CEO of One Cover Pvt. Ltd. and a prominent ICT policy expert. According to Adhikari, the ITPC is envisioned as a professional ecosystem where young innovators are evaluated on merit, real-world impact, and sustainability.

“Youth innovation must be encouraged through platforms that recognize creativity, responsibility, and real-world relevance,” Adhikari stated.

The competition has generated strong enthusiasm among students and young developers nationwide. Tek Raj Awasthi described ITPCA as a rare opportunity to showcase original research and solutions addressing real-world challenges. Megha Mandal highlighted that the platform elevates student projects beyond academic grading into industry-aligned innovation.

Emphasizing experiential learning, Bisesh Jung Nepali noted that the competition offers mentorship and professional exposure often missing in conventional academic programs. Meanwhile, Riona Dhungel and Kushal Pandey underlined the inclusive nature of the awards, ensuring representation of talent from all regions of Nepal and connecting them to the country’s digital transformation journey.
