Kathmandu: Ek Ek Paila, a non-profit organization dedicated to volunteer-based health services, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event held on August 30, 2025.
The program featured two major highlights: the official launch of a “10-Year Souvenir Book” and the screening of a short documentary titled “हाम्रा पाइलाहरू”. Both initiatives chronicled the organization’s journey, highlighting the people involved and the communities served over the past decade.
What began as a small health campaign in response to the 2015 earthquake has now grown into a well-recognized organization serving communities across Nepal. With the support of dedicated volunteer doctors, citizens, the Social Welfare Council, local governments, provincial health offices, security forces, and partner organizations, Ek Ek Paila has successfully conducted 34 free health camps and established health centers and hospitals in underserved areas.
Over the years, the organization has provided critical health services including eye care, dental care, maternal health, orthopaedics, radiology, tuberculosis treatment, and general consultations. Even during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers and supporters ensured that thousands of disadvantaged individuals received essential, and often life-saving, medical care.
The 10th anniversary celebration was not only a moment of pride but also one of reflection honoring the journey so far and reaffirming commitment to the path ahead. The event brought together long-time supporters, partner institutions, and individuals who have been part of Ek Ek Paila’s mission to deliver healthcare, one step at a time.
