Kathmandu: vivo has officially launched the Y500 smartphone in Nepal, introducing a new Y Series device featuring the brand’s largest-ever battery alongside a premium display, advanced cameras, and enhanced durability.
The vivo Y500 comes in Pearl White and Midnight Blue color options, featuring a slim profile and a new Nebula Window Camera Module design that combines modern aesthetics with comfortable ergonomics.
The smartphone’s standout feature is its 8,100mAh BlueVolt Battery, the largest battery capacity ever introduced in the vivo Y Series. According to the company, the battery is backed by a 6-Year Battery Health guarantee and a 50-Month Smooth Experience certification. Using vivo’s proprietary Space Stacking Technology and Magic Cube Expansion Packaging Process, the large battery is housed in a slim body while delivering up to 10 hours of continuous gaming on a single charge.
The Y500 features a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, offering an enhanced viewing experience for gaming and multimedia. Dual stereo speakers further improve the audio experience.
Powering the device is a 6nm processor designed to deliver smooth multitasking, everyday performance, and casual gaming.
On the durability front, the smartphone comes with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings and supports underwater photography, allowing users to capture images even beneath the water’s surface.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 50MP Sony main camera and a 32MP front-facing camera, designed to deliver detailed images and high-quality selfies.
The vivo Y500 is available in two storage configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – Rs. 54,999
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – Rs. 61,999
The smartphone is now available through vivo-authorized retail stores across Nepal and online via Daraz.
