Ncell deeply regrets to confirm that several of its facilities—including the head office, Ncell ICON in Kathmandu, and regional offices in Mahendranagar, Dhangadhi, and Pokhara—were severely impacted by acts of vandalism last week. These incidents not only caused significant material damage but also posed serious risks to employee safety and service continuity.
Despite these challenges, Ncell remained steadfast in its commitment to keeping Nepal connected. To ensure uninterrupted communication during the crisis, we immediately provided free voice calls, SMS, and internet services for three days. This response reflects our unwavering dedication to serving the people of Nepal, as we have done for over 20 years.
As the nation embarks on a new chapter under the leadership of the new interim government, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Rt. Hon. Sushila Karki on her appointment as Prime Minister. We welcome this moment of transformation, inspired by the youth-led movement that has brought about this change, and share in the collective hope for a future of greater unity, peace, and prosperity for all Nepalis.
For over two decades, Ncell has stood alongside the people of Nepal in the journey of transformation in the Information and Communication Technology sector creating jobs, driving economic growth, and contributing towards the vision of Digital Nepal. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to serving the nation with renewed determination and resilience.
We stand shoulder to shoulder with our employees, customers, and communities, grateful for the solidarity and support we have received during these testing times.
Finally, we express our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in last week’s unrest, and we wish a swift recovery to those who were injured.
