Jhapa: A total of 51 kilometers of roads were blacktopped in Jhapa during the last fiscal year, according to the District Infrastructure Development Office.
Rajeshwar Mahato, head of the office, said infrastructure development works completed during the year included six suspension bridges, three government buildings, 49 community structures, 11 religious sites, eight school infrastructure projects, one covered hall, and eight other buildings and infrastructure projects.
A budget of Rs 1 billion 510 million 14 lakh 78 thousand was allocated for infrastructure development in the district during the fiscal year. Of the allocated amount, Rs 1 billion 54 million 45 lakh 64 thousand 540 was spent.
