Kathmandu: ICT Foundation Nepal successfully conducted an orientation session in Itahari at Namuna College Itahari under the “Digital and IT-Enabled Business Incubation Service (BIS) Program 2026.” The program is being implemented in coordination with Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI).
The initiative aims to support more than 50 early-stage startups through incubation. Running from March to June 2026 in a hybrid model, the program will provide participants with one-on-one mentorship from experts, capacity-building sessions, business development and validation support, and investor readiness preparation.
A total of 12 startup teams have been selected for the incubation program: Huncha Digital, Khaja Ghar, Krishi Compass, Local Bazaar, Manthan, Medicab Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Mero Safari Mero Gunaso, Mind Bridge, Safari Yatri, Sajilo, Utsav Events, and VoltV.
The orientation session featured insights from leading professionals in technology and innovation. Speakers included Sanjay Poudel, Tech Lead at National Innovation Center Nepal; Chandra Acharya and Kshitiz Dahal from Lunar Technology; Keshab Bhandari from Kingspire Technologies; and Santosh Dhamala, Executive Chairman of Kafals. They shared perspectives on startup growth, market expansion, investment readiness, and real-world challenges.
According to the organizers, the program aims to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by promoting entrepreneurship beyond the Kathmandu Valley. It will provide entrepreneurs with opportunities for direct engagement with industry experts, practical training, and networking to refine their business models.
Top-performing startups will also have the opportunity to access seed investment support and participate in national platforms such as ICT Awards, Startup and Idea Fest, National Conclaves, and AI Conferences.
ICT Foundation Nepal has previously contributed to regional innovation through initiatives like Digital Karnali Conclave and Digital Madhesh Conclave. The Itahari session is seen as a significant step toward expanding the startup ecosystem in Koshi Province.
Associated partners for the program include Lunar Solutions and Namuna College Itahari, while supporting partners include Kingspire Pvt. Ltd. and Kafals.
