Kathmandu: The Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), Government of Nepal, has appointed ICT Foundation Nepal (IFN) to implement the Business Incubation Service (BIS) Operation and Management Program.

Under this initiative, ICT Foundation Nepal will run a Digital and IT-enabled Startup Incubation Program aimed at supporting more than 50 early-stage startups from Kathmandu Valley (Bagmati Province) and Itahari (Koshi Province).

The program will be conducted from March to June 2026 using a hybrid model. Participating startups will benefit from one-on-one mentorship, capacity-building sessions, business development and validation support, and investor readiness preparation.

According to the organizers, the initiative is designed to expand entrepreneurship development beyond Kathmandu and strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by including entrepreneurs from underserved areas.

Selected startups will gain direct access to industry experts, hands-on training, and networking opportunities. These resources are expected to help startups refine their business models, enhance market presence, and prepare for investment opportunities.

Top-performing startups will also receive seed investment support and access to national-level platforms such as ICT Award, Startup and Idea Fest, National Conclaves, and AI Conference.

ICT Foundation Nepal has previously contributed to regional innovation through initiatives such as Digital Karnali Conclave and Digital Madhesh Conclave.

Through this program, IFN aims to strengthen Nepal’s startup ecosystem, promote inclusive entrepreneurship, and support innovation-driven economic growth while enabling startups to scale both nationally and internationally.
