GWM Expands Nepal’s EV Lineup with HAVAL JOLION MAX

Kathmandu: Great Wall Motor (GWM) has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio in Nepal with the launch of the HAVAL JOLION MAX, a pure battery-electric SUV, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

The launch comes nearly a month after the introduction of the ORA 5 EV, making the JOLION MAX the second pure electric SUV introduced by VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorised importer and distributor of GWM in Nepal, within a short period.

The latest launch underlines GWM’s growing focus on the Nepali market, with the company expected to introduce more products across different segments, including premium and luxury vehicles. GWM currently has a presence in more than 170 countries and regions, while Nepal becomes the second market globally to receive the HAVAL JOLION MAX.

420 km+ Range and Advanced EV Technology

The HAVAL JOLION MAX is powered by a 58.3 kWh battery and offers a claimed WLTP range of more than 420 km on a single charge. With 190 mm of ground clearance, the electric SUV is designed to handle a variety of everyday road conditions.

The SUV comes equipped with a range of advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Change Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Braking.

It also features an Indirect Driver Fatigue Monitoring System and a transparent underbody view system, adding to its safety and convenience package.

Feature-Rich Interior

Inside, the JOLION MAX gets a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker audio system.

Depending on the variant, the SUV also offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and ambient lighting.

The electric SUV supports AC charging of up to 6.6 kW as well as DC charging. It also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing the vehicle to supply 220V/50Hz power to external electrical devices.

Strengthening GWM’s EV Presence in Nepal

With the ORA 5 EV and HAVAL JOLION MAX arriving in quick succession, GWM is steadily broadening its electric vehicle portfolio in Nepal. The company is bringing its global EV technology and mobility solutions to Nepali consumers through its expanding local operations.

The HAVAL JOLION MAX is being offered at a special NAIMA launch price of NPR 59,99,999.
