Kathmandu: Ncell has successfully obtained the prestigious ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. These internationally recognized standards highlight the company’s dedication to delivering consistent, high-quality services while minimizing its environmental impact.
ISO 9001 is the global benchmark for Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring organizations maintain processes that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. Likewise, ISO 14001 sets the standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), guiding organizations to effectively manage environmental responsibilities, reduce waste, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
“These ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, following the prestigious ISO 27001:2022 (ISMS) and ISO 27701:2019 (PIMS) certifications in data security and privacy, are a testament to our commitment to the quality of services we provide,” said Michael Foley, Chief Executive Officer of Ncell.
“Be it for B2C, B2B, or B2G services, these certifications ensure that our business is robustly governed and meets globally recognized standards,” he added.
In January last year, Ncell became the first telecom company in Nepal to receive ISO 27001:2022 (ISMS) and ISO 27701:2019 (PIMS) certifications, which were also successfully renewed this year.
The dual certification further underscores Ncell’s focus on operational excellence and sustainability in Nepal’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. For customers, this translates into more reliable network performance, enhanced service quality, and environmentally responsible operations.
Enterprises stand to benefit from improved operational efficiency, reduced risks, and stronger competitiveness, while stakeholders(including partners, regulators, and investors) gain increased confidence from Ncell’s demonstrated accountability, compliance, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Ncell stated that it remains committed to leveraging these certifications to deliver world-class digital services while advancing environmental stewardship for a better-connected and greener Nepal.
