Kathmandu: TikTok has released its Q4 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe, authentic, and positive digital environment for users. The report covers the period from October to December 2025 and outlines the platform’s ongoing efforts in content moderation and user safety.
In Nepal, TikTok removed a total of 1,932,575 videos during Q4 2025 for violating Community Guidelines. The platform maintained a proactive removal rate of 99.9%, with 98.4% of violating content removed within 24 hours, demonstrating strong efficiency in identifying and addressing harmful content.
Globally, TikTok removed over 175 million videos during the same period, representing approximately 0.5% of all uploaded content. Of these:
152.5 million videos were detected and removed using automated technologies
8.36 million videos were reinstated after further review
The proactive removal rate stood at 99.1%, with 93.4% removed within 24 hours
To further strengthen platform integrity, TikTok removed:
- 147.7 million fake accounts
- 23.8 million suspected underage accounts
The report highlights continuous improvements in TikTok’s AI-driven moderation systems. Notably, there was a decline in videos removed before receiving a single view, indicating enhanced capability to detect and act on older violating content. Additionally, comment removals decreased due to a strategic shift toward demoting inappropriate comments rather than removing them outright.
At the same time, enforcement actions targeting fake likes and fake followers increased, reinforcing the platform’s focus on authenticity and user trust.
In terms of content categories:
- 21.2% of removed videos contained sensitive or mature themes
- 9.1% violated safety and civility standards
- 1.2% breached privacy and security guidelines
- 1.6% were flagged as misinformation
- 1.8% involved edited media or AI-generated content (AIGC)
The periodic publication of the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report reflects TikTok’s commitment to transparency and accountability, providing insights into the scale and nature of its enforcement actions.
