Yamaha Named “Powered By” Sponsor for PM Cup 2026, Strengthening Support for Nepali Cricket

Kathmandu: Yamaha Nepal has announced its role as the official “Powered By” sponsor for the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Nepali sports and युवा प्रतिभा.

Organized annually by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the PM Cup is the country’s premier domestic cricket tournament, spanning one month and featuring teams from all seven provinces along with departmental sides including Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and APF.

Through this partnership, Yamaha aims to fuel the aspirations of emerging cricketers while aligning its brand philosophy of “Kando” with the discipline, teamwork, and passion of the sport. The tournament also provides significant visibility through live broadcasts and post-match award ceremonies.

To recognize outstanding performances, Yamaha will award a Yamaha Saluto to the Best Bowler, Best Batsman, and Player of the Match, honoring excellence and dedication on the field.

The matches will be held across key venues including Birgunj, Janakpur, Upper Mulpani, and Lower Mulpani, making the tournament a nationwide sporting celebration.

Speaking on the partnership, Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN, expressed appreciation for Yamaha’s involvement, noting that such collaborations help strengthen domestic cricket and motivate players to perform at their best.

Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Group, highlighted the importance of supporting platforms that reflect the passion and potential of Nepali youth, while Deepak Kumar Agrawal, Executive Director and CEO, emphasized Yamaha’s belief in ambition and its pride in supporting a tournament that inspires the nation.

With this collaboration, Yamaha continues its journey of supporting sports development in Nepal, encouraging fans across the country to be part of what promises to be an exciting and competitive edition of the PM Cup 2026.
