Kathmandu: Aakar Foundation organized a special appreciation and reward distribution program today at Lalitpur Metropolitan City to honor artists with disabilities whose paintings were successfully sold during a recent art exhibition. The event celebrated the creativity, dedication, and artistic achievements of the participating artists, recognizing their meaningful contribution to inclusive art and social empowerment.
During the program, selected artists received cheques equivalent to the sale value of their artworks. In addition to financial rewards, letters of appreciation were presented to each participant as a symbol of respect and encouragement. The awards were handed over by Mr. Dev Prasad Guragain, Information Officer at Lalitpur Metropolitan City, who commended the artists for their originality, perseverance, and expressive talent.
Volunteers who played a key role in supporting and organizing the initiative were also recognized and presented with certificates in appreciation of their valuable contributions to the success of the program.
