Chelsea Int’l Academy and Insight Vision Crowned Champions at 6th British Cup 2025

Kathmandu: The British College successfully concluded the 6th British Cup 2025 Inter-College Futsal Tournament, held from 25th to 29th August at Dhuku Sports Hub, Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

This year’s event saw a record level of enthusiasm, with 20 colleges competing in the Bachelor’s Category and 17 colleges in the High School Category. Over five days, the tournament delivered thrilling matches, showcasing competitive spirit and remarkable sportsmanship among some of the leading academic institutions in the valley.

In the High School Category, Chelsea International Academy emerged as champions, claiming a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, while DAV College secured the runners-up position and Rs. 50,000. Individual accolades went to:

  • MVP: Bimarsh Bam Thakuri (Chelsea Academy)
  • Best Goalkeeper: Yashraj Sah (Chelsea Academy)
  • Top Goal Scorer: Rijan Maharjan – 11 goals (AVM)
  • Fair Play Award: Rombus Secondary School

Each individual award carried a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.

In the Bachelor’s Category, Insight Vision clinched the championship title with a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, defeating NATHM, who finished as runners-up and received Rs. 50,000. The standout performers included:

  1. Best Player: Rabin Chaulagain (Insight Vision)
  2. Best Goalkeeper: Sujan Baram (Insight Vision)
  3. Top Goal Scorer: Bibidh Bista (NATHM)
  4. Fair Play Award: Little Angels College

Winners in these categories were each awarded Rs. 10,000.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Rajen Kandel, Founder/CEO of The British College, expressed pride in the students who organized and volunteered at the event. “This tournament reflects everything we stand for here at TBC. We thank all the participating colleges for their outstanding performances and entertainment. A special thanks goes to our ECA Coordinator, Sudip Bhattarai, for organizing the event so successfully. We look forward to returning next year, bigger and better, and expanding participation to colleges outside the valley for the 7th British Cup in 2026.”
