Kathmandu: Celebrating a decade of excellence in aviation, Himalaya Airlines proudly operated a special diplomatic flight carrying the Right Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. K.P. Sharma Oli, on his official visit to Tianjin, People’s Republic of China.

The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister was accompanied by Madam Radhika Shakya and a high-level delegation, including:

• Hon. Mr. Raghuji Pant – Minister for Education, Science and Technology
• Hon. Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey – Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation
• Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada – Economic and Development Advisor to the Prime Minister
• Members of Parliament and senior government officials from various ministries

The delegation is scheduled to return aboard Himalaya Airlines’ Airbus 320-214 on September 03, 2025, from Beijing.

The Airbus 319-115 (9N-AJK) departed from Tribhuvan International Airport at 07:23 NST and landed safely at Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 15:15 local time.

Welcoming the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and delegates on board, Mr. Zhou Enyong, President of Himalaya Airlines, expressed pride in this milestone. Mr. Vijay Shrestha, Vice President – Administration, who bid farewell to the Prime Minister at TIA, stated: “It is indeed a great honor for Himalaya Airlines to operate this special flight for the official visit of the Head of Government. On the occasion of completing a decade of service, we express our gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister for his patronage and support. Himalaya Airlines will continue to uphold this trust, serving the nation with commitment in the years ahead.”
