Kathmandu: Nepal is set to witness a historic leap in mobility innovation as the country’s first EVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) Deepal Flying Taxi will be officially unveiled by the Honourable Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during the inauguration of the NADA Auto Show 2025 on Tuesday.
This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in Nepal’s transportation sector, made possible through the collaboration of MAW Vriddhi and leading Chinese automaker Changan Auto. The EVTOL Flying Taxi, alongside the Deepal EV lineup, will be one of the biggest attractions at this year’s NADA Auto Show.
For the first time ever in Nepal, life-sized Humanoid Robots will also be showcased, interacting directly with visitors and demonstrating human-like movements and communication. These innovations transform NADA into more than just an automobile exhibition — it becomes a platform celebrating the dawn of a new technological era in Nepal.
Market-Disruptive EVs at NADA
In addition to the Flying Taxi, Deepal and Avatr will display their advanced EV range, including the Deepal S05, S07 ICA, E07, and the ultra-premium Avatr 11. The recently launched Deepal S05, unveiled in Nepal just last week, has already received an overwhelming response thanks to its unique blend of luxury, technology, and style. As Nepal’s No.1 luxury EV brand, Deepal’s full lineup will be available for visitors to explore at Stalls A1 and A2.
National Significance
“NADA Auto Show has always been the stage for breakthrough technologies. This year, the unveiling of Nepal’s first Flying Taxi by the Prime Minister himself is a historic moment,” said Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director of MAW Vriddhi. “By bringing in the Flying Taxi, Humanoid Robots, and Deepal’s disruptive EV lineup, we are redefining the future of mobility in Nepal.”
