Kathmandu: LXG Motors Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Laxmi Group, has announced the upcoming launch of ‘Karry’, a renowned Chinese electric commercial vehicle brand, in Nepal. The official unveiling will take place at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), beginning Shrawan 21 (August 6) at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
This marks Laxmi Group’s strategic entry into the fully electric commercial vehicle segment, expanding its electric mobility offerings. Already the authorized distributor of global automotive brands such as Hyundai, BMW, and SML Isuzu, Laxmi Group is now set to introduce the Karry KEVAN 1 and KEVAN 2 electric van models to cater to both commercial transport and school commuting needs.
Two Specialized Variants
- KEVAN 1 (Commercial Variant):
Finished in sleek modern grey, this model is designed for urban goods transport and light commercial use. - KEVAN 2 (School Variant):
Offered in safety yellow, this version is customized for school and college transportation, prioritizing safety and capacity.
Both variants are equipped with a 53 kWh CATL battery, delivering a driving range of up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, making them a practical solution for intra-city travel and daily operational needs.
