Karnali: Police in Surkhet have arrested a man on suspicion of murdering his wife in a shocking case of domestic violence.

Dansingh Thadamagar, 42, a resident of Birendranagar Municipality-13, was taken into custody for allegedly beating his 41-year-old wife, Rabina Thadamagar, to death with a wooden plank while she was asleep on Saturday night, according to District Police Office spokesperson Mohan Jung Budthapa.

The incident came to light after local residents of Kaherkhola alerted authorities, prompting immediate police action. Officers discovered Rabina’s lifeless body at the scene and apprehended Dansingh on the spot.

The District Police Office in Surkhet has confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
