Pokhara: Ampere, the premium electric scooter brand manufactured by Greaves Electric Mobility, has officially expanded its presence in Pokhara as part of its nationwide growth strategy in Nepal.

The brand entered the Nepali market nearly two months ago and is officially distributed and marketed in Nepal by STC Auto Solution Pvt. Ltd. under the STC Group.

As part of the expansion, DNB Trade Pvt. Ltd., located at Buddhachowk, Pokhara, has been appointed as the authorized dealer for Ampere scooters in the region. The company has officially commenced sales and distribution of the Ampere Nexus EX from Baisakh 31.

Greaves Electric Mobility has been manufacturing electric two-wheelers in India for the past 15 years, and Ampere has established itself as one of India’s leading electric scooter brands. According to the company, Ampere scooters are known for their performance, design, smart technology, and build quality.

The Ampere Nexus EX has been introduced as a practical and economical electric mobility solution for daily commuting. The scooter is powered by a 3.9 kW motor paired with a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery. The company claims the scooter can deliver a range of up to 136 kilometers on a full charge.

The battery can be fully charged at home in approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Ampere stated that its LFP batteries have been tested in temperatures ranging from minus 40 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius and offer a lifecycle of up to 2,000 charging cycles. The battery is backed by a warranty of up to 75,000 kilometers or five years.

The scooter features a mid-mounted motor and offers five riding modes, including reverse mode. Additional features include alloy wheels, disc brakes, all-LED lighting, USB charging, connectivity features, twin suspension, and a reinforced chassis designed for rider comfort and stability.

The price of the Ampere Nexus EX has been fixed at NPR 335,000.
