Kathmandu: The National Assembly (NA) members have shared that the newly formed government should give special priority to good governance, transparency and corruption control.
In today’s meeting of the upper house of the Federal Parliament, the members raised various issues including price hike of daily essentials and problems facing marginalized community due to ongoing conflict in Middle East countries.
Uday Bahadur Bohara urged the government to rescue Nepalis who are stranded in Middle East countries.
Similarly, Jayanti Devi Rai, Mohammad Khalid, Rajendra Laxmi Gaire and Sonam Gelzen Sherpa drew the attention of the NA and government about ongoing conflict in Middle East countries, its impact across the world including Nepal as well as other contemporary issues.
Likewise, Khamma Bahadur Khati opined that the government should carryout activities keeping the matter of national welfare in centre rising above the partisan interest.
Gita Devkota and Chandra Bahadur KC stressed the need of implementing farmer-friendly policy, adding economic development should be main agenda of the incumbent government.
Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar stressed on fair investigation on the case Inisha BK of Surkhet while Suresh Kumar Ale Magar expressed the view that student organisations should not be banned.
Similarly, Madan Kumari Shah and Narayan Dutta Mishra expressed their views on various contemporary topics.
