Gold and Silver Prices Surge in Local Market

Kathmandu: According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, prices of gold and silver have increased significantly in the local market today.

The price of hallmark gold has risen by Rs. 14,600 per tola, reaching Rs. 288,500 per tola. Similarly, silver prices have also gone up by Rs. 415 per tola, now standing at Rs. 4,920 per tola.

On the previous day, Tuesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs. 273,900 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs. 4,505 per tola.

Earlier this week, on Monday, gold was traded at Rs. 275,500 per tola and silver at Rs. 4,425 per tola. On Sunday, gold was priced at Rs. 282,000 per tola, with silver trading at Rs. 4,540 per tola.

Meanwhile, in the international market, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,600 per ounce, while silver is priced at USD 74 per ounce, according to international media reports.
