Kathmandu: The Nepal Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NICCI) successfully convened its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade, investment, tourism, and business cooperation between Nepal and Italy.
The AGM was honored by the presence of Honorable Patron Mr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha as the Chief Guest. NICCI President Mr. Sanjay Agrawal, along with the Chamber’s leadership team and members, highlighted Italy’s continued support for Nepal’s development initiatives and the preservation of its cultural heritage.
During the meeting, Mr. Sanjay Agrawal was re-elected as President for a further three-year term, reflecting the members’ continued trust in his leadership and vision. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Agrawal outlined NICCI’s strategic priorities for the coming years, emphasizing the Chamber’s focus on deepening business-to-business engagement between Nepali and Italian enterprises, actively facilitating investment and policy dialogue, expanding tourism and cultural collaboration, and further strengthening NICCI’s role as a credible, action-oriented chamber delivering tangible value to its members.
As part of the AGM proceedings, Mr. Vinod Sagtani was recognized as Member of the Year 2025, while Mr. Kalyan Silwal received the NICCI CSR Community 2025 Award, acknowledging their contributions and commitment.
The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve to enhance bilateral cooperation, promote investment opportunities, and strengthen tourism and commercial ties between Nepal and Italy.
